For the past four years SET has been dedicated to nurturing a plethora of emerging artistic talent - through genuinely affordable workspace, multiple exhibition and project spaces and a music venue and performance space with a vibrant and eclectic programme. SET is now embarking on its biggest and most ambitious project to date, SET Woolwich. The centre will open mid-pandemic and will offer a foothold to the arts during such hard times.

Housed in two former Greenwich Council and HMRC office buildings, the new centre totals 140,000 sq ft and 19 storeys and will bring together over 250 workspaces, a dedicated moving-image exhibition series and a Members Programme project space. At each of their centres SET look to house a multitude of differing practices including: performance, installation, writing, theatre, dance, painting and sculpture.

SET is also offering 5000 sq ft of free space to support important causes; those whose work addresses structural inequality and strives to make genuine, positive change. They are hoping to hear from a variety of community groups, charities and grassroots movements - both established organisations and those just starting up. The application is open until the 15th of February.

They also have a Free Studio Prize that will be awarded to artists where access to free workspace will be particularly transformative to their practice. The deadline to apply is also the 15th of February.

Studios will be priced at £0.9 per sq ft per calendar month all-inclusive, some of the most affordable London has to offer. Studios will range from 400 sq ft spaces for £360 per month to whole floors totalling 5,000 sq ft.
